Current Special Collections Exhibit

Exhibits, Rare Books

UH Libraries’ Special Collections current exhibit Book Play: The Art of Telling the Story celebrates the creative and eclectic work of Ron King and the Circle Press. There are no limits to the form a book can take under the creative direction of the Circle Press. The press produces poetry posters, pop-up books, wire books, concertina books, mirror books, stone books and combinations of all these forms.  Selections from the Circle Press’ first book, The Prologue to the Canterbury Tales (1967), The Left-Handed Punch (1986), and Anansi Company (1992) are included in the exhibition.

Book Play: The Art of Telling the Story is located on the first floor of M.D. Anderson Library. For more information, please contact curator Rebecca Russell by e-mail at rrussell3@uh.edu or by phone at 713-743-9755.
