ProQuest and Alexander Street Press Product Downtime January 19, 2019

On January 19, 2019, from 9pm for approximately 8 hours, most ProQuest, Alexander Street Press, Sanborn Maps, Chadwyck-Healey databases will be unavailable.

ProQuest will be performing routine maintenance to maintain the currency and security of their products.

DynaMed – System Maintenance January 9-February 1 – RESOLVED

Content updates will be unavailable through February 1st, for DynaMed due to scheduled maintenance. DynaMed will be available to subscribers and our Systematic Literature Surveillance and review processes will continue during this time. You can expect to see all updates that occurred during maintenance by February 1st, 2019.

Duke University Press 2018 Temporarily Unavailable – RESOLVED

Duke University Press has discovered issues in accessing 2018 content on their platform. They unfortunately do not have an ETA as to when access will be fully restored.

Ebook Central, Ebrary, and Ebook Library Down for Maintenance Saturday Oct. 27, 2018 – RESOLVED

ProQuest Ebook Central, Ebrary, and Ebook library will be down for maintenance for approximately 90 minutes on Saturday, October 27, 2018 starting at 12:30 p.m.

Access problems with AccessEngineering using Chrome

There is a known problem using Chrome with AccessEngineering. Sometimes users may receive either a 404 or a 520 page error when trying to access individual titles on AccessEnginerring. The vendor reported that clearing browser history, cache and cookies when using Chrome should fix the problem.

Emerald Insight Platform Maintenance May 22, 2018-RESOLVED

Starting on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at 3am, the Emerald Insight Platform will be undergoing scheduled maintenance. The platform may be intermittently unavailable for up to 12 hours.

On-campus authentication on ScienceDirect

In consultation with the vendor, UH Libraries currently requires authentication on-campus when accessing all ScienceDirect platforms.

There have also been numerous reports by other ScienceDirect customers of sluggishness on the ScienceDirect platform. The vendor is working on fixing this problem.

ProQuest Product Downtime Saturday, JULY 29, 2017 – RESOLVED

On Saturday, 29 July 2017, a ProQuest product maintenance window will launch worldwide to upgrade infrastructure, enhance security, and maintain reliability of your products.

During this 9-hour window, some ProQuest products will be unavailable. While the date and time were chosen to minimize the impact on our customers, we realize that some users may be affected, and we apologize for the inconvenience.  Additionally, web-based customer access will be redirected to a webpage stating the planned maintenance times.

•    United States (CDT): Saturday, 29 July, 2:00 p.m. through Saturday, 29 July, 11:59 p.m.

The following products will be temporarily offline:

•    ProQuest Platform (search.proquest.com)
•    ProQuest Congressional (congressional.proquest.com)
•    ProQuest Dialog (search.proquest.com/professional)

ProQuest gateway errors-RESOLVED

At this time, ProQuest resources are experiencing a gateway error due to their new platform update. The Libraries’ are working with ProQuest Technical Support to fix this problem. If you encounter a problem, please click the broken link button next to the resource name in the e-journals menu. This will assist the Libraries’ conversation with ProQuest Technical Support.

Ulrichsweb System Downtime-RESOLVED

Ulrichsweb will be down on Thursday, June 15th, starting at 3pm for platform updates, and will affect Ulrichsweb™, Ulrichsweb API, and Ulrich’s Serials Analysis System services.

During this time, you will be unable to make any administrative changes, and visitors to the Ulrichsweb web page will find a “service unavailable” message asking them to come back later. Ulrichsweb API requests will result in no data during this brief downtime.

Expected downtime is approximately 1 hour.
