Women and Social Movements: New Content
The database, Women and Social Movements Scholar's Edition, now provides access to documents that focus on the funding of the National Woman's Party between the 1910s and early 1930s. It also receives a major update for documents and audio files of the proceedings of the 1977 National Women's Conference in Houston. The database now "includes 79 document projects with more than 2,400 documents, 32,000 pages of additional full-text documents, and 1,700 primary authors. It includes as well book, film and website reviews, notes from the archives, and teaching tools."
Literature Resource Center: New Interface
The database, Literature Resource Center, has changed its search interface. Information about the database and the new search interface is available online. There is also a guided tour.
New Database: Roper Center Public Opinion Archives
The Library now provides access to Roper Center Public Opinion Archives, which is a database of polls conducted in the U.S. and overseas. Its key component is the iPOLL Databank, which is organized at the question level and provides tools to sift through nearly half a million questions asked in national public opinion surveys from 1935 to present. Users can also search at the dataset level and download some of the public opinion studies conducted in the U.S. and abroad.
U.S. Serial Set Digital Collection Available
We are pleased to announce that the U.S. Serial Set Digital Collection is now available as part of the LexisNexis Congressional database. It consists of U.S. government publications compiled under the directive of Congress, and contains comprehensive and often detailed information on an extremely wide range of subjects. Its earliest documents date from 1789 and additions are made continually. The U.S. Serial Set Digital Collection includes: indexing, bibliographic information, and searchable PDFs for all Serial Set publications from 1789-1969.
New Database for Black Studies
The University of Houston Libraries now provide access to Black Studies Center. It is a database that combines current and historical resources for research and teaching in Black Studies. It is a convenient gateway to scholarly essays, dissertations, recent periodicals, historical newspaper articles, and much more.

The database MLA International Bibliography has been expanded retrospectively. Its coverage now goes back to 1880’s!
