JSTOR platform change
On August 14, 2010, JSTOR plans on changing their search interface. JSTOR reports that the new interface will have a more streamlined look and feel. The new platform update offers new features in preparation for the Current Scholarship Program. Both historical scholarly content and the current journal issues will be available on a single, integrated platform and with a single interface starting in January of 2011. According to JSTOR, the transition will be seamless with no scheduled down time.
Wiley down August 7-8, 2010
Wiley InterScience will be changing their platform to Wiley Online Library this weekend. Because of this change, Wiley InterScience will no longer be available from Saturday, August 7, 2010 at 3am. Wiley Online Library is due to go live on Sunday, August 8, 2010 at 12pm.
During this transition period anyone attempting to access the sites will see a message explaining the reason for the unavailability and will be directed to wileyonlinelibrary.com/info for more details.
We apologize for this interruption in service and will do all that we can to ensure a smooth transition to Wiley Online Library.
Accessible Archives Maintenance 6/21/2010
Accessible Archives will be performing system maintenance on June 21, 2010 starting at 8pm. Their system will be down for approximately 3 hours.
Wiley Interscience Site Maintenance
On Saturday, June 19, 2010, Wiley Interscience will be unavailable from 7am for approximately 5 hours.
Ovid databases down today at 9am
Ovid is announcing that the April enhancements to OvidSP are scheduled for deployment on Tuesday, April 6th at 9:00 am. If you are using an OVID database on April 6th, your session will continue uninterrupted until you log out or your session times out. Ovid did not report and end time for the scheduled deployment of enhancements. Please remember that this includes the Lippencott electronic journals.
Remote access has been restored
Remote access to library resources has been restored.
Remote and some local access to electronic resouces is down
Both remote and local access to many of the Libraries’ electronic resources is not working. The UH Libraries’ IT Departments and the Electronic Resources Department are currently working on restoring access as quickly as possible. At this time, no time estimate is available regarding when access is expected to be restored.
