Scheduled maintenance to the Libraries Electronic Resources on 1/3/2012
On Tuesday, January 3, 2012, the Systems Division will be upgrading our EZproxy server. This could potentially lead to an intermittent down time of up to 3 hours. We will be initiating the upgrade at 9am and estimate that the upgrade will be completed by noon. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
Intermittent problems with Gale Virtual Reference Library eBooks
The Gale Virtual Reference Library is currently experiencing intermittent connectivity problems. The library is working with Gale to restore seamless access to the eBook content. If you are trying to connect to a Gale Virtual Reference Library eBook, please try the link several times. We have found that retrying will sometimes force a connection. If retrying now does not bring up the eBook, please retry your search later today.
Science Direct scheduled downtime
Science Direct electronic journals will be offline and unavailable on Saturday, February 26, 2011 for approximately 12 hours between 7AM-7PM for scheduled upgrades and maintenance.

Wiley Online Library scheduled maintenance
On Saturday, February 5, 2011, Wiley Online Library will be down for scheduled maintenance at 4am for approximately 2 hours. We apologize for the inconvenience.
ProQuest Connectivity Problems
Access to ProQuest databases has been restored. If you get the an error message that states ” 2000: ProQuest is unable to retrieve the search results at this time” then please clear out your cache and cookies and restart your search. If the problem still persists, contact Electronic Resources as uhliber@mail.uh.edu.

ProQuest databases are currently offline due to a problem with the ProQuest servers. As soon as access is restored a notice will be posted.
Wiley Online Library scheduled maintenance
Wiley Online Library announces scheduled maintenance on Sunday, December 19, 2010 beginning at 4:00am. Wiley expects their Web site to be down for approximately 2 hours.
JSTOR Platform Change
The JSTOR Platform is changing Saturday, December 18th. Some of the new features will be:
- A wider range of content formats, including full-text HTML for some journals and downloadable PDFs for all current journal issues
- Multimedia files for some journals
- New personalization features, including the ability to register for Table of Contents (TOC) emails and alerts when new content matches saved search terms
- New informational pages for the titles participating in the Current Scholarship Program
During the Platform change, JSTOR expects intermittent downtime but is not planning on taking their Web site down fully.
SciFinder Scholar scheduled downtime
Due to maintenance work on the database server that supports myCAS® and Self Registration, these applications (including Forgot Password) will be unavailable from 9:00 p.m.-midnight on Saturday, December 4, 2010.
