Library Website and Catalog Unavailable 5/28 – 5/29
The library will be performing network maintenance from 8:00 PM tonight (May 28th) to 2:00 AM tomorrow (May 29th). During this period there will be no access to the Libraries’ servers. This includes all library web sites, electronic resources, and the library catalog. We are sorry for any inconvenience.
No Water in M. D. Anderson Library from 9-noon on 12/21
Friday morning 12/21/2007 between the hours of 9 am – 12 noon the M D. Anderson Library will be without running water. We will be having some upgrades done to the water handling system during these times. This work is specific to the Library only. All other buildings in the area will have running water.
Federated Search Tool Down
The library's federated search tool (the Article Search box on the Libraries homepage) will be down Sunday 12/16 – Noon on Tuesday 12/18 for maintenance. The tool will be available again on Tuesday at noon.

New Libraries Website
The UH Libraries has launched a new web site designed to make it easier to use the Libraries' services and to better provide the reliable service you have come to expect. Featured on this new web site is a one-stop search box, research tutorials, subject specific research assistance, and pages designed specifically to highlight services of interest to faculty, graduate students and undergraduates. The web pages for our branch libraries have also been updated to highlight their specific services and resources.
Please note that the new site has been designed to perform best with the latest web browsers (Internet Explorer 7+, Firefox 2+, or Netscape 9+) and typical user screen resolution (1024 x 768 or higher).
We are always open to your comments and suggestions and hope you will use the Comments and Suggestion Form to send your feedback to us. We will be adding exciting features to the new web page over the course of the Fall semester and changing things based user feedback.

ScienceDirect downtime
The ScienceDirect platform will be unavailable Saturday, January 20, from 1:30 pm to approximately 7:30 pm due to a system upgrade.

The University is closing at 5 p.m. and will reopen Tuesday, October 17. All classes from 5 p.m. on are canceled and only essential employees should report for evening work.
Proquest Down for Maintainance
ProQuest down for maintenance:
The ProQuest platform will undergo a 12-hour maintenance for installing new enhancements. ProQuest databases will be down from July 15, 9 p.m. to July 16, 9 a.m.
