The 2015-2016 season of Poetry and Prose: Creative Writers at the University of Houston kicks off on September 16.
Now in its 16th year, Poetry and Prose provides a venue for the talented authors and poets of the Creative Writing Program at UH in the Honors College Commons in the MD Anderson Library.
The 2015-2016 series line-up includes:
- September 16 – new Creative Writing Program graduate students Lauren Espinoza, Daniel Chu, Aza Pace, Chris Liek, Joshua Foster, Mandi Casolo, Corey Campbell, Lani Yu
- October 14 – Faculty Alex Parsons and Mat Johnson
- November 18 – Ecopoetics – Faculty Martha Serpas
- February 24 – Faculty Tony Hoagland and Nick Flynn
- April 13 – featuring undergraduate Creative Writing Program students with work appearing in Glass Mountain
Each reading is held on Wednesday evening at 5:30 p.m. All readings are free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be provided.
