Library Catalog Downtime
To better serve you, we are upgrading our library catalog software on Wednesday, July 19th. Please note that all access to the library catalog and any remote access to library databases will be unavailable from 6:00am until about 1pm on Wednesday. Remote access to the library databases via the campus VPN will not be affected by this downtime.
Proquest Down for Maintainance
ProQuest down for maintenance:
The ProQuest platform will undergo a 12-hour maintenance for installing new enhancements. ProQuest databases will be down from July 15, 9 p.m. to July 16, 9 a.m.
Library Closes at Noon
Due to inclement weather the M. D. Anderson Library will close at noon on June 19th, 2006. The Libraries will resume normal hours tomorrow, June 20th.
MLA Coverage Expanded
The database MLA International Bibliography has been expanded retrospectively. Its coverage now goes back to 1880’s!

Safari Tech Books Online Now Available!
The University Libraries are pleased to announce the
immediate availability of the Safari Tech Books Online.
This database provides online access to the full text of
more than 1100 books from many industry-leading
publishers of computer titles (O’Reilly, Adobe Press,
Addison-Wesley, Prentice Hall, and more). Like other
electronic resources offered by the Libraries, Safari
Tech Books Online can be accessed in the libraries
or from your home or office. Click http://info.lib.uh.edu/research/findarticles.html and
select the letter S to find it in the database list. For
