Did you know you can search the UH Library Catalog from within EndNote or EndNote Web? Yes, you can!

In EndNote Web, from the “Collect” tab, select “Online Search.” Then click “Customize this list” and find the U Houston entry. Copy it to your favorites, then select it and you’ll have a search box to use.

Perform your search, then select the records you want to import into your library. There’s a video here: http://screencast.com/t/CDOLRG4Dwn that will show you how to do it.

In the standalone versions of EndNote, (X, X2, X3), use the “Online Search” function under the Tools menu. It appears that for EndNote X3, UH is not included with the installation, but it can be downloaded from the support site.

Use this link to download the connection file. Save it to the Connections folder nestled inside your EndNote program folder (Program Files>EndNote>Connections). Once you’ve done this, you can then search the UH catalog within EndNote.

As always, don’t hesitate to contact me if you have questions or problems.

Best,

Lee
