Pat Bozeman’s nomination as Librarian Emerita has been approved by the University of Houston System Board of Regents. Pat Bozeman

Bozeman joined the University of Houston in 1984. Two years later, she was appointed head of Special Collections and at the time of her retirement in January 2015, held the Emily Scott Evans Endowed Library Professorship.

Through Bozeman’s work with faculty, library and university donors, and the Houston community, significant national and international collections were created. Her scholarly contributions included a seminal book, Forged Documents: Proceedings of the 1989 Houston Conference, which addressed a major issue in the rare books and manuscripts world.

Bozeman produced award-winning published catalogs, and was active as a frequent invited speaker and organizer of major conference and workshop events. Her professional engagement at the University included roles ranging from the Faculty Senate to the University Commission on Women.
